How is your organization managing workforce changes in the times of pandemic?
According to the Randstad RiseSmart COVID-19 employer survey, 20% of US employers have either laid off or furloughed employees and 54% of organizations did not take any action to avoid the workforce reductions.
“The COVID-19 pandemic has posed unforeseen economic burdens on organizations across various industries, leading many employers to make the tough decision to lay off and furlough talent as a result,” said Dan Davenport, president and general manager of Randstad RiseSmart. “While it is a positive sign that the unemployment rate is starting to decrease, we are still in the midst of this pandemic, and based on our survey results, more coronavirus-related layoffs could be on the horizon.”
Also, Demand in temporary hiring has risen three-to-four-fold and may surge as employers would want to hire full-time employees in the next 12-18 months but temporary projects are definetly at rise.
